ORANGE, Connecticut, March 10, 2026— Infants, toddlers, and children of all ages joined Cozy Place Learning Center owner, Maria Anthony, in cutting the ribbon to mark the center’s official opening. Located at 109 Boston Post Road, Orange, tucked away in the back of the Orange Town Center Plaza, Cozy Place features ample parking and safe, secure arrivals and departures.
Organized by the Amity Chamber of Commerce, Anthony was joined by her husband, Ralph, along with a crowd of Cozy Place parents, friends, staff, and family members. Barry Lee Cohen, CEO of the Amity Chamber, also took part in the celebration. An open house and tours of the facility followed.
Anthony brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in early childhood care and education. She started her childcare career with a small home-based daycare that grew into Cuddle Time Daycare Center in Hamden. A few years ago, Anthony sold Cuddle Time, which serves over 70 children with a dedicated team of 25 teachers, and stepped into semi-retirement. Maria said,
“As it turns out, I missed everything about daycare! The laughter, the learning, the little milestones, and the big hugs—I missed it all!
That’s why I’m thrilled to be opening Cozy Place Learning Center here in Orange. I’m excited to bring the same love, care, and dedication to this community that made my first center a beloved place for families.”
Cohen said, “Maria and her team are committed to exceptional childcare that ensures that every child feels safe, cherished, and excited to develop new skills. On behalf of the Amity Chamber, we welcome Cozy Place and wish them many years of making happy childhood memories for young students and their families.”
